Changes to Our Mass Schedule Effective Tuesday, June 30, 2026
Many of us have been waiting intently on the formal merger decree from the Bishop's office concerning our four parishes. While we do not yet have the decree in hand, I have been given permission to proceed with some of the next steps — including publishing our future Mass schedule. As our four parishes become one new Saint Mary's Parish, weekend Masses will be celebrated on our two campuses — Saint Mary's, Melrose and Saint John the Baptist, Meire Grove. Please know: no single schedule could please everyone, and every community is sacrificing something. This was carefully and prayerfully considered.

A Note on Mass Intentions: This cherished custom of requesting Masses offered for the benefit of souls is an important and time-honored tradition. An updated Mass intention policy is currently being reviewed. Parishioners will be notified once the updated policy is approved and Masses can be requested again. Understandably, going forward, availability will be greatly reduced. There will be more information in the weeks to come, and I will continue to be available to answer any questions I can. Let us continue to pray for one another and this process. God bless. ~Fr. Mitchell
